Do you use Bible software to help you with your Bible study? If so, chances are you use Logos. It is the most widely sold Bible study software on the planet. This week, the Seattle Times ran a story about the two guys – both former Microsoftees – who started the whole thing back in 1991. After placing their first ad in a Christian magazine, they sold six copies. Last year, sales were at $35 million. (I’m no math wizard, but that’s a little better.)
This article is a fascinating look at the beginning of Logos, as well as the current state of a company that has already spun off a magazine, an online study website, a Christian eBook store, and a way for churches to integrate social media into their services in real-time. And it looks like they’re just getting started.
