How much money will you spend online in the next five weeks? What if I told you that every online store you shop at would donate 1-5% of what you spend to a charity you choose? Now…what if I told you that it would take you less than a minute (literally) to set it up and it wouldn’t cost you a dime?
This is one of those rare times when “too good to be true” is actually true. It’s called GoodShop.
The concept is simple. GoodShop has partnered with thousands of online retailers. Rather than paying millions on advertising, these companies will gladly donate a percentage of each purchase – call it a “referral fee” – to a non-profit you choose.
These little “referral fees” add up to a ton of money. So far, GoodShop has raised more than $11,300,000 for lots of charities.
Here are a few companies you might have heard of (wink, wink):
- Amazon – 1.5%
- Expedia – 4%
- Apple – 1%
- Target – 1-2.5%
- Old Navy – 2.5%
- WalMart – 2%
- Home Depot – 2-2.5%
[callout]To put this in perspective – If only the people on my email list spent $200 each at Amazon, they would raise $7,722 for my ministry![/callout]
It is truly so simple, I created this screencast showing you exactly how to do it. The video may be 2:29, but the part where I’m actually going from not-setup-at-all to ready-to-shop is 24 seconds!
