This is a weird blog post to write. (We’ll get back to my normal Bible stuff next week.) You see, I’m not a detail person. And I’m not a read-the-fine-print person either. I guess those probably go hand in hand. But there’s something that is forcing me to do it…and it affects you. In fact, by the time you read this sentence you’ve probably had to dismiss a popup notification about my “Terms of Use & Privacy Policy.” Yup…that’s it.
Have you seen this acronym floating around? “GDPR” It stands for General Data Protection Regulation. It’s a European thing. Nope…I’m not moving to Europe. But many of my readers live there, so the GDPR affects us all.
Honestly, I think it’s a good thing. At least it’s forcing companies to do some good things.

That all stems from personal data getting into the wrong hands. The aim of the GDPR is to lessen the likelihood of it happening to you.
I have spent some time over the last couple weeks reading, researching, and writing my practices, responsibilities and your rights. The end result is my brand-new, hot off the presses, shiny, new-car-smell “Terms of Use & Privacy Policy.” You can read it all right here.
While you can access it via a link at the very bottom of every page and post on this site, here are the highlights: [Read more…] about Data, Privacy, and Simplicity
