This was originally a post on my Facebook Page. I wanted to keep it for a while (after all, I’m feeling nostalgic) so I thought I’d post it here.
It’s been 24 years. March 3, 1996. That was the day a much younger version of myself walked out onto the stage at North Seattle Covenant Church in front of about 150 friends and family.
For the next two hours, I was alone on stage, presenting the Gospel of John for the very first time. Only I wasn’t alone…
God has been preparing the way for a very long time. Preparing my heart. Preparing my mind. Preparing those early churches who would trust their platforms and their people to a young youth pastor with no drama training who felt called to tell the greatest story ever to be told.
