I am writing this post as a parent. Not a writer. Not a speaker. Not a storyteller. I’m writing as a parent who desperately wants his kids to know, love, serve, enjoy, and glorify Jesus.
I’m writing as a parent who needs help. Don’t we all?
None of us can do it alone. We’re not supposed to. None of us has all the tools.
While developing your own authentic, active relationship with Jesus is, by far, the #1 tool for passing on faith to your kids, there are lots of other helpful tools as well.
So…where do you find the best tools?
After all, none of us is aware of every book, Bible, music CD, or app that could really be helpful for passing on a vibrant faith in Jesus to our kids.
That’s why I have spent the last month asking every children’s pastor and ministry volunteer I could find one simple question:
If there was ONE RESOURCE you wish parents knew about and used with their kids, what would it be?”
After all, these are the people who examine, read, and use more of these tools than anyone else I know. Not to mention well over 90% of them are parents themselves!
I’ve spent the last couple days compiling their suggestions, checking links, and organizing them. And I want you to have it for free!
Here are the categories:
- Bibles (organized by preschool, ages 7-10, tweens, and teens)
- Books
- Music
- Apps
- Other Tools
Once you take a look, let me know what I should add. (That’s the beauty of eBooks! 🙂 )
And if you want to help other parents who could use these tools, you can…
…share it on Facebook. (Click to share)
…tweet about it. (Click to tweet)
