At the Banquet...
The "centerpiece" of my keynote is the letter to the Philippians. The presentation of the book is about 15 minutes. Before and after the presentation, I focus my keynote on three themes...
PARTNERSHIP - Philippians ties in perfectly to your work - and the banquet itself - because it is a letter all about the joy of partnership in ministry! We look at how partnering together is more effective and a whole lot more fun than doing it alone!
PRAYER - Jesus came that we might have life. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Your ministry is directly opposed to the mission of the enemy. That's why it must be blanketed in prayer. Paul's prayer in Chapter 1 is a perfect model for how each person in the room can pray for you, your staff, your board, and your ministry.
PARTICIPATION - The final paragraphs of Paul's letter is thanking them for the ways that the people of Philippi have participated in Paul's ministry. They made it possible for Paul to continue to do what he had been called to do. The people at your banquet can do the same for you! This is where I take everything we've discussed prior to your banquet and paint a crystal-clear picture of your ministry, the people you serve, the many ways you serve them, and why your ministry must not only survive, but truly thrive in your community! I transition directly from this third theme into doing the appeal for you.
I know not every speaker does the appeal. I LOVE doing the appeal!
I will work with you to make sure that your donors know what you need, why you need it, how to donate, and are clearly guided through the entire process.
